The Department offers a number of special postgraduate courses each year some of which are scheduled to facilitate attendance by practising engineers from industry. The majority of courses are full-time and cover a variety of topics.

The MSC Biostatistics at UCT is a master’s degree in biostatistics offered by the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa. Biostatistics is the application of statistical methods to biological and medical data, such as clinical trials, epidemiology, genetics, and ecology.

This is a one and a half-year full-time programme (both the coursework and dissertation are completed within the year and a half of study) starting in the first week of February each year. The programme consists of coursework and a research dissertation.
